Cool.. a Semi Faired FZ16..!! Yamaha is keeping the excitement alive.

In all probably this will sport the same 14 Ps, 153 cc mill of the FZ16.. for reasons of cost advantage and raking in the moolah. The FZ already outsells the RTR Fi doesn't it..??

Pricing will now probably be closer to the ZMA area..

The to be launched soon RTR 180 (due to its its rumoured premium price tag), P200/P220 and especially ZMA are in danger of its sales tapering off due to this new Semi Faired FZ.

Reason: Majority of our Desi Bikers would be more interested in looking good rather than bother Purely from the Performance perspective.

More over, according to a few magazines the 14 Ps of the FZ doesn't actually make it feel that underpowered.. even a few publications choose the FZ over the more powerful RTR Fi.

I seriously doubt that any other 250 cc bike except the Ninja 250R is making into India so soon.. even internationally the Ninja 250R is hailed as the Best Twin Cylinder 250 cc bike out there.

Its only direct competitor internationally is the Hyosung GT250R..

Yamaha, Honda, Suzuki making a similar 250 cc twin cylinder especially for India..?? Highly unlikely.

The Ninja should hit Indian shores... maybe its a matter of the ecomony smiling again (as in most probablity it won't exactly be a budget bike for Indians)

But seriously the Ninja 250R has it all.. Head turning Looks for Style Bhai's and Performance (from the desi perpective) for the need for speed junkies.

@Durvesh:But of course!FZ is underpowerwed. aren't u a P220 rider?

If the new FZ is something like this, then others better come up with something or else they are done for!

The new FZ looks real good...the front fairing gives it an additional meaty look..

When is it gonna hit the market...??
