I really cant believe HHs own R&D wud be so advanced to create a V-Twin !! For that they need to move beyond research on stickers !!
they do have a low displacement parallel twin. the Nighthawk. one of the cleanest, most functional bikes of them all. function over form.

2008 Nighthawk - Honda Powersports

mind...its not cheap. starts around 3800 USD. but its relative. for value offered, its acceptable i feel. problem is if this engine is brought in here, cost will skyrocket.

IMO the Anhelo was a BIG loss.... supposed to be a cracker of a machine .... but the RTOs killed it....guess why?

Maybe they were already frustrated with low cost & high power combo. I mean, we all know that Rx100, etc were even used for crimes, etc. too ...

Moreover, earlier & even now, 2 strokes are blamed for dangerous riding, etc... Who can stop the Posers from purchasing these?

Even today, I often see People in Kurta Payjama smoking "2 stroke snow" on my face. What's more, rash driving, no helmet & no indication of overtaking at all!

Hello speculators,
I heard news about the release of the Pulsar 200 DTS Fi and to verify it, I googled it. Someone has posted pics of a new P200 being tested in the outskirts of Pune. Can anyone confirm if this is a P200 with Fi or just some cosmetic modifications?

RTO's killed it? Why?

PS: In 2000~2002 it might not have been economically viable but, now it would be perfect! (esp. for our road conditions)

Oops I thought this was listed somewhere here before!

Its a 2 stroker, This was a time when 2 strokers were considered as taboo for pollution and fuel economy, they simply didnt let it pass the homoglation tests!

EDIT: Oops sorry it was the prowler which was the 2 stroker... got confused with names!

@Satyen: The prowler did get out on the roads but for a short time.

So now can you tell us why anhelo got kicked out by the RTO ? (or you were talking abt prowler)
