This is with all due respect to all those guys who post information from their reliable sources.

I have learnt that unless and until a company officially announces its new/upgrade product, the speculated information from the reliable sources doesn't really match with the actual product launch. The biggest example is the "Must know information about the RTR..." thread! In the initial stages of that thread, it was said that the RTR 180 is going to be faster (better top end) than the R15, and that it's going to be the fastest accelerating motorcycle in the country! These comments were put very confidently! However, now that the specs and the first ride report of RTR180 is out in different mags, its seems that this bike is only a better RTR160 and not an R15 beater! The top end of this bike is marginally better than the RTR160 as Bike India reports that TVS didn't work on improving the top end!!! So whatever was said about it earlier that its going to better R15 in top speed has been proved wrong! But the full test report is still to come, so it is still to be seen that how quick and fast the RTR180 actually is!

Now coming to the latest news that the P220 is going to have six gears, though I hope it turns out to be true, I just can't help but doubt the authenticity of this news. Bike India, in its latest issue has reported that they spotted the "upgraded" P220 on test. They have also posted a picture of a guy riding the supposedly "upgraded" P220! And though the looks are the same according to that picture, they say that it had a sticker which had "on test" written on it. This indicates that there might changes in the engine. Now why I have mentioned this is because everyone has their side of the story to tell! whom to believe? The best thing to do is to wait for the vehicle to launch

Again, I have no intention to upset any of the guys who post some news after getting it from their reliable sources. This is just my recent experience!

Cheers!

@vinfreak-Although this is the best comment in the last 2 pages but I guess we are not running a contest which says post the most catchy one liner.

I guess some sense should prevail while posting anything in this thread else the whole purpose of this thread will be defeated.Someone posted something about 220 and he was very confident about it but I guess everyone is taking it as a joke.

@MG_BIKER: Buddy if you have had a look at this thread then i wouldnt have to tell you that the purpose of this thread is already defeated.
BTW i wasnt trying to be funny and nor did I mean to upset the person who is confident on his info. Just questioning the whole concept of "SOURCES" from various members.

And yet another friend sent me an SMS saying that Yamaha is working on a single cylinder 600cc exclusively for India! I reckon with about 45 odd Bhp.

Very soon we will have all these bikes on the road. Which one are you gonna buy?
I'll go for the 250cc better than 400 & 600cc for city ride

Given that the new 180 UG4 has so many bits borrowed from the 200, and as a result has "robbed the 200 of its identity" as many members here have suggested, is it possible that there might be something totally new on the 200 ?? for e.g. could the new 200 be a six - speed ???
Here is my take... the 180 will come with clip-ons etc. The 220 will appear in an new avatar and will be available in various options! The 200 will get killed and obsolete!
