I did not get a word of what you said in that post! But here I am to correct a couple of facts that I found mistaken...

1. BMW introduced its huge monsters in 1994 and NOT in the late 90s
2. Which two dinosaurs are you talking about from Kinetic? If you are talking about Aquila and Comet then let me tell you that for both motorcycles, priced at close to 2L 5 years ago, each and every bike imported were completely sold out in months of their launch, so fast that Kinetic could not keep up with the demand! So how come you are calling it a flop?

Oops! I think that sarcasm went flying past most of us xbhpians like a flying R1. And coming back to upgrades, I was one of the first to upgrade from my 180 to the Comet!

I also want to upgrade-or rather add up from R15 to Ninja250.

When I owned the Comet, that was about 5 years ago or so... there was no 220 in sight, not even in speculation! I bought the Comet and rode it for nearly 2 years for 13K kms. I sold that bike because I got an offer I could not refuse. (Not à la Mario Puzo). Selling the Comet was a biking mistake but a financial recovery. But I am glad that I sold it to a guy who takes very good care of the machine. 8 months later, I picked up the first lot 220.

Phew, this thread is becoming a Ken's biking history thread...
