Talking From Mods to Stock :Pulsar 180 classic (Updates On Pg 1)

Hey all,
Sharing with you pics of my cousins Pulsar 180.

A little Flashback....
The bike was bought second hand with the intention of modding it to a wannabe R1, it took a lot of time convincing him not to do that though i managed to convince him to keep it stock and light as possible. He agreed and went to mod it to a Buell Firebolt. The mod didn't come out as expected and was out of proportion from head to Toe.( A lot of Xbhpian's criticized the mod job too).

2 years down the line a lot of problems started cropping up and the bike was left in a corner of the garage. Nobody willing to ride it since the height had increased considerably because of the monoshock and the underseat exhaust. Not to forget the wobbling at the rear end bcoz of the mono.
Then one day it come as a passing thought to bring the bike back to stock. My bro agreed and here i present to you the final product (well almost).............

Ok update time.

From the last time i posted a hell lot of things have been done..Here goes.........
1> Complete Engine Rebuild with the block and piston from the 180UG3 along with the gearbox.
2> Carburetor from the P200.
3> DTS-i headlamp unit with Philips Diamond Vision 55/60 Bulb on the Avengers Coil.
4> 17in wheels and Tyres. 90/90 Mrf Zapper-FS upfront and Duro D39 120 section at the rear.
5> High Security number plates.
6> Indicators from the Bajaj XCD.
7> Wheel stickering

I now present my bike 99.9 % complete.

Things Still pending.
Leg Guard.
Horns from the P220 or The Roots Windtone horn.

Your comments as usual are invited.....

Nice resurrection, ripper .Accept the headlight which seems little small as compared to the stock everything else looks good.
a pulsar classic is incomplete without the classic silencer, always liked the sound that it made though ,tough to procure now.

aah! Nice to see it in its pure nature form!
Classics are intended to be ripped in their mean raw form. Even i tried many things on mine. But never, altered the cosmetics. Gradually, i am back to stock. Its been almost 8 years and 1 Lac+ on kms, and the bike has never gave upon me. Glad to be its owner.
Cheers mate.

the classic came back to life... The bike looks great now with its original (not borrowed) looks.
Congratulations Ripper.

Smile ahhhaann... Classic Pulsar

Classic Pulsar has been close to my heart.. always. It was my first bike and fell in love with the looks. Still looks muscular and somewhere I still have great respect for my machine. I have both 1st generation P150 classic in Delhi.. and Latest generation P220 here in Pune.

Both absolutely different machines.. one thing remains same... Nostalgia and emotional attachment.

Ride my P150 whenever I go back to delhi... and ride with pride even now. Just love the grunt and sound of Classic Pulsars. Have kept it in the best possible manner. Nobody is allowed to ride my bike in my absence. I dont think I will ever sell it. I have grown as a biker with P150. Have spent some of the most beautiful times with it... So why to leave it alone now.

Thats my prized possession... 100 % stock and original. 6 and half year old now.
