Default Classic Owners - Milege Posting Thread!

Dear fellow xBHP-ians,

Well, though Pulsar DTSi's are making a revolution, we have to still remember the good ol' Classic Pulsars that sky-rocketed Bajaj's image of a biking company.

So, this thread is dedicated to Pulsar Classic Owners to encourage them to post their milege figures.

The milege which you got in the start till the current constant milege you get from your Classic Pulsars.

So, I request *all* Pulsar Classic owners (180 and 150) to kindly post your milege figures in this thread, so that everybody can compare.

When posting, also state if your's is 150 or 180; number of days/months/years old; number of kilometres run; and the specifications of petrol used (speed, power, octane levels, etc.) during the course (first, later, and current, if any).

Also, keep updating your milege figures regularly (or when it changes - hopefully increases).

This can help serve as a good comparison, and will also have a scope for improvement.

Thank you one and all!

hello all...
gud work lynx wih this thread...this will be hopefully very helpful to everyone...
..my 150(ks) does exactly what I got it for...squeezes in the max from every drop of unleaded petrol...from 50 kmpl in the beginning I get 63 to even 70 kmpl now!!!!..the secret?..try to keep the bike below 3500 rpm & constant on the 5th gear...sometimes speeding at certain small strecthes(when I really have to rush..getting late & that) can get the economy lower to 55-60, not much less...
...lets say that from every 150 bucks I spend, I try to get atleast 300 kms out of it...when the prices were high & when they were low...thats my benchmark...
...I use speed or power on & off, but usually use then normal unleaded...will be changing to 92 octane or speed..lets see...
take care all

keep the faith...

Hi,
Max I got on my p180 with stock silencer and city driving was 43kmpl(that was after the second service). A few hundred km after the running-in was over i switched to a "HRC" freeflow exhaust and in city conditions, after hard "on the edge" kind of driving i still get 35-37Kmpl. I got 40KMpl on my 165km vikarabad trip where my average speed was above 85kmpl with frequent brushing of 120kmph.
My bike(Feb 2003 purchase) has done 7k km approx.

Vivek

Could u explain me further what u mean by a two electrode spark plug.
Any sparkie has two electrodes normally(anode-cathode if I am not mistaken)
Assuming that it is some thing better than the original spark-plug what changes have u noticed in the mileage and performance of u'r bike.
And which company produces it? How much it costs? does it fit into the cyclinder without any mods?

Regards
vivek
