Default DIY: changing the headlights of FZ

hello folks,

for all the people who like to get their hand dirty in the bike's grease and oil here is how they can change the headlight of FZ....

first the tools required....

1. number 10 spanner (supplied in the tool kit)
2. 5mm allen key(not supplied in the tool kit have to be purchased separately cost = 20rs)
3. a cross screw driver and its holder (supplied in the tool kit)

first remove the allen bolts (using the 5mm allen key) from the cheeks of fz where there are indicators. total bolts to be removed = 4

after removing the bolts let those parts dangle with the help of the indicator wire. underneath them you will see another set of bolts one on each side holding the headlight and one bolt underneath the headlight which is used to fix the level of beam. (all the three bolts can be removed with the help of number 10 spanner).

after that gently pull the headlight towards yourself and remove the clips of the headlight and the pilot lamp.

after removing the headlight put it on your lap and remove the following items:
1. fairing (by removing the screws holding it to the headlight's top using a cross screw driver)
2. 4 brackets which were holding the bolts (use a flat screw driver to pop them out)
3. the golden rings (2 in number again use the screw driver to pop them out)
4. the rubber washers holding those 2 golden rings. (you will have to use some force to get them out dont try removing them by simply pulling them out of the grooves as it might damage the groove instead push one of its sides in the hole using a screw driver.(remember how wee used to repair the bata slippers when the rubber was detached from its hole while playing))

put these back in the new headlight. and screw everything back in its place.

P.S: dont wear spectacles which are loose at they will tend to fall off from behind your ears...
