then open these and the ones opposite them under the visor front,

after removing the number plate, reach your hand through the area and pull out the stock pilot lamps, replace the bulbs with the LEDs, if doesn't work, change polarity (flip it sideways), check if its glowing, then place it back inside and fit the stuffs back the way you opened it.

Is this possible for the RTR 180 non abs,would really like to do it,the stocks ones aren't that bright.Is it the same plug and play for the apache??

To stick the strip inside the low beam you have to open the headlight. Else you can't. Its too congested.

RGB strip is not really available here..

Default LED mods for the CBZ Classic ??
Hey guys !

I really appreciate the DIYs discussed here. I ain't a techie or should I say a 'mechie' in these mods department. But, I would like to begin with my first soon!

I have a CBZ Classic 2001 model. Company Painted blue color. (My profile pic shows my baby - TurboKat! ). No fancy stuff yet , with the exception of a 110/90 rear zapper Q.

What are the possible LED styling for my beast - only white and blue colors strictly?

All suggestions, comments and opinions are welcome !

yes it can be done, if the resistance value is properly selected.

the basic idea should be to show the lighting effect and not shoe the led directly. the place most common on all bikes are:
1) above engine frm top
2) those extensions to the tank
3) rear tyre lighting that to frm top .i.e. under seat.
4) air vents of the side panel
5) uncommon but beautiful... pillion grab rails effect

im building a LED tacho (Bar graph like rev meter)

so any idea on " how to tap the tachometer signal from the CDI " ??

and where is the CDI located on Pulsar 220 Dtsi ? what shape is the CDI(easier to identify) ?

you mean open the headlight seals or jst the back screws of the lower beam

+ there are two types of leds
1) 3528 (small but many leds in the strip), they use low current
2) 5050( bigger and more brighter led),they use more current..
which one did you use

and did you go for any winding of stator??

Just open the back side where the bulb is fitted and pass the LED from that area.

You can use either of the strips, but the 3528 lasts longer. Less prone to get fuzed I mean.

Bro, an LED strip consumes extremely low current. Stator rewind for LED strips? Are you kidding me?

The LED strips are ready to fit into speedo console n cowl air vents........
Thanx Raneet i aready placed LED bulbs in air vents bt they are not long lasting.
thats the reason i m goin to replaced it with LED strips.
