You can always place couple of magnets below the side panels!
Or do what i did! Tested it and it passed! was pretty hard to remove actually!Used some tape just in case it went of too but im thinking of doing a neat job with velcro.

I've a bike mobile charger from Idea Forge. Check the below link. You can just directly hook it up to battery (though connecting some sort of switch is recommended).

Buy Ideaforge Emergency / Travel Universal Mobile Chargers : Bike Charger online, Ideaforge Emergency / Travel Universal Mobile Chargers : Bike Charger Price, Reviews @ Indiatimes Shopping.

Beautiful ideas ! all of them!

just my input - if you are wanting a versatile charging solution:

Quote:
Product:

(It is a white colored Adapter with Blue casing like thing - here)
Croma | Tech Talkers

Croma- 4 Way charger (White product with green packaging) (with 6 months Croma store warranty)

Charges using:
1. 2 pin AC supply OR
2. Ciggie lighter from Car (or could be from an attachment to the battery from Motorcycle- if you wish) OR
3. 2 AA size batteries! OR
4. 1 9 V Battery!
I have posted it in another DIY (that also was for a Mount - DIY is from someone else - I only am suggesting the charging solution.)
here it is:
DIY GPS - Using Car GPS PND on Motorbike.

Thanks,

Ace.

Use some cushioning between the Tank & the phone. The vibes will damage the phone/GPS device.
