Default DIY request thread

The purpose of this thread is to record requests for DIY threads on various topics which haven't been documented yet. This will help when someone who knows his way around a motorcycle sees these requests and then he can make a mental note to document the process the next time he does the particular task.

To start things off, I request a DIY thread on how to take apart the handlebar controls (preferably on an R15), i.e. how to seperate the handle bar from the rest of the bike and while doing so, how to take off the clutch and brake levers , the left hand grip and the throttle grip, and the bar end weights. Also I want to know how to put it all back together.

The purpose of this is to lubricate my clutch pivot bolt. The clutch feels 'not free' and I've already tried lubricating the cable so I think this might be the issue. Also my handlebar needs replacement after a crash bent it inwards and I wish to do it myself.

Here's hoping that this thread gets approved and someone finds the time for helping me out with a DIY thread on this matter.

Thanks in advance

-Parth

DIY has always been interesting!

My Request: How to Set/Reset A/F ratio for our bikes (carbed bikes)
(Particularly : Fz-16)

If we could understand a few things - from basic - to actual hands-on (video/images - would be great)

I understand the risk here, but, only for the ones- who take responsibility themselves.

Any light?

Ace.

Default Pulsar 200- How to remove chain and then, re-install it after cleaning?

I wish to do the above, can somebody help me with a DIY.
The chain is dirty and the Bajaj guys do nothing more than applying oil everytime rather than cleaning it first.
I bought SAE 90 Gear Oil for lubricating and diesel for cleaning.
I just need some help with regards to removing the chain and then fitting it back.

Can somebody please tell me how to dismantle the chain in a Pulsar 200 for cleaning and then putting it back?
Tools required, care to be taken etc.

Default Carb cleaning

I would love to have a DIY for cleaning carbs specially CV CARBS..
I can do cleaning of pilot jet, main jet & float bowl but i know nothing about the part containing slide, diaphram, spring, throttle plate etc. So it would be great..

I could do that. But there's nothing so tough about it... In fact, its just a screw away, as far as I know. Have a look below:
