Get someone else to hold a screwdriver and push it from the upper portion, around the sides. Don't worry, the rubber is hard, it won't break. An Easier Way: Guys, my mechanic removed it but couldn't fit it back upside down, so I got the rubber cut and installed it back the normal way, instead of upside down: ![]() It works well. There is a street in Ajmer, where my P180 always used to scrape the ground due to a brick protruding, but that didn't happen today.

Thanks Avinash for this tip..I think you replied to me about the same in the P220 ownership thread.
But I had taken it to PBK just the day before the response came in the P220 thread. The svc guy cut a big portion of the bush and placed it back as normal. The stand hitting has almost become non-existent. Earlier it scraped even with a pillion weighing 60kg but now it doesn't touch even with a 80kg pillion on board. I have a lot of speedbreakers on the way to work and I test it almost everyday. I think this should be the first mod for all owners of P220. Just an OT - are the shocks non-adjustable on the P220?

Even I had the same prob.. Riding in hilly sections was very irritating cos of the centre stand bottoming out resulting in horrible, teeth grinding sounds & fear that this time the stand must've broken, making me stop each time with a heavy heart to check it out.. Then recently when i was getting my ride(P220F) water serviced, I shared my disapointment with one of my friend, who also owns the same bike, and had come for the same purpose there... He just got up, went over to where my bike was & did exactly the same thing that u've illustrated, & since that day I haven't faced that prob. of centre stand bottoming out, and restricting turn speeds, and angle.. will ask him if he thought it out himslf or read it frm ur post, here.. Anyways...thx alot to U & Him for solving this big prob. of the clearance, with Bushing in stock position... CHEERS!! Ride Safe...hooo....yaaaaaa..... :-)
