Could you care to tell us what part is exaggerated? Have you ridden the bike and if so, would like to hear your impressions...

For any other bike Ken i would have given this writeup above average marks, but for a Ducati?!!
This is sacrilege.
Blasphemy.
And no this is not Sparta.

Ducati carries a bit more fuzziness in the pants than all of the Japs combined. Now i know most of the indian journos get carried away with the bigger bikes, and fairly so, but describing ducati in such placid and insipid terms is like describing Scarlett Johansson as just sexy. or Chicken Chettinad as tasty. No sir it is not just tasty it is mike tyson's upper cut on your balls and hollyfield's left cut to your face. It is chitrangada singh bumping into you at a local superstore. While wearing clothes made from chocolate. Melting chocolate at that.

It is the jolt from the paramedics to get your heart restarted.

Or some such.

You were writing about ducati man, at least a few more exclamation marks would have been nice, if not just.

I am distraught.
Am going to open a new window and ogle at the monster to get over this.

Really? or did i miss the Boratesque "Not" joke in the end. :P

Btw just finished skimming through the second issue of the magazine. The Spiti feature is just awesome. More so maybe because i have not been able to do it for sometime now. Also the gixxer and bandit's ride were fun too. But i still maintain it is the website in a magazine, which is not a bad thing by any means, but there is something missing. And till the time i find that something i will stop being a critic.

Maybe it is just that am used to reading the regular formatted magazine for more than a decade now.

Anyways keep up the good work.

Default Heating Issues in Traffic

Does this bike heat up a lot in Indian city traffic conditions?

All the Euro and American forums generally opine that 1100 or 1100S does heat up in traffic. Now if they are complaining, one can only wonder what happens in India!

Can someone indicate how much is the heat build up, compared to an Enfield Bullet CI engine? Say for a travel through pretty dense traffic (top speed - 40 kmph, average - 20 kmph) for upwards of 30 minutes?

^^ well in those conditions the R15s fan turns on within 5-7 min of operation, that might give you an idea what would happen with the moster being 1100cc. but i still think its normal. As far as india is concerned, i guess this bike would not be used for daily use or regular commuting. Just an assumption

Of course, daily commuting is not possible on these bikes.
But for occasional usage and fun drives also, one cannot escape dense traffic in India. I mean John Abraham and all the similar dudes are great, but if one can only take his bike out post 2 o'clock in the night...

I guess the heat will be little more than normal bikes but not intolerable. Us Indians are any day way more tolerant and patient compared to our European counterparts. They bitch about the heat in traffic conditions similar to interior Rajasthan and weather conditions similar to interior Himachal Pradesh.

Your right about the european guys, but for me personally i would take it out in early morning or late night, thats the way the R15 is being used.
In the afternoon Delhi has lesser chances of having traffic jams. You would find that type mostly in office hours near 8-9am or evening 6-8pm. Again, least chances of getting heated, but yes a liquid cooled engine is anytime welcome in anywhere in India.
