Amazing! No other word for it.
I'm still considering it over the R15. I'm going to be taking one this December.
Anyone have an idea of what could be the price tag?

Amazing looking bike. Great pics Sunny.
But what i wish is, why dont they go all out with one of the bikes and bring out an ultra version for abt 10-15k more that makes some 19-20ps and an equally good amount torque. I am dying to see a bike like that. So many compromises because of this market strategy and all crap. Still hoping it happens.

Another great lookin Yamaha ... wish they could get more out of the engine .... waiting for the launch ... Bookings started all over Bhopal ... but the RTR160 FI would beat it in a feature to price comparison ... this is just an opinion ... please do not start a discussion on this point.

Looking forward to one soon!

Few odd bits;
Rear Brake, Center Stand, Rear Brake Light and Front Number Plate Placement seem to have been an after-thought.
Instrument Cluster is odd & a bit hard to read in daylight.

FZ1 you mean??

I guess, it is bcoz it crossed the 150cc mark, so it falls under 150cc-160cc slot, rounding it off to 160cc, to give a feel it is better than other 150ccs, also to differentiate in name against R15.. as the commuters would confuse even in name, as they are used to Splendor, Passion, Glamour, Pulsar, etc.. I expect to hear, - doosra/ naya wala R-15 ka kitna price/ mileage hai?

Regarding it's bulky tank, I recall my Uncle saying, he still prefers HH CD100SS, coz it has a tank to the seat level, and hence atleast 3 people can sit on it easily... lol.

BTW, awesome pictorials.... a lot different than earlier Impressions...

If we look around for the bikes of stunting bike enthusiasts... we'll find no or round head-lamps/ no fairings, fatter rear tyres, no chain-covers, so this is the perfect bike for bike-rapers! Already doesn't has those things, what earlier removed to be done after purchase... Just saree-guard work needs to be done though.

Thanks Yammy for bringing out a practically viable bike for daily use and for another strata of biking enthusiasts.

Yammy is just playing safe, by not attracting fierce competition by staying into 150ccs/ pre-17bhps, so that other makers don't get mad and bring out more competition, so it's Nawabi style - Pehle aap...

The thing that makes me scare, are the people who find these bikes out-of-the-planet and gaze from up/ from down, sit on it for a photo-session, (what I saw people doing on a parked R-15). What people do to my poor Uni in parking lots at times (pressing all buttons, pulling choke, fiddling with throttle stop screw-RPM thingy), makes me shiver to just imagine, if I owned a super-bike and parked it somewhere, they're like superstars (R-15 = SRK, R-1 = Bradd Pitt), so I would require to call for RAF, to get rid of the mob. It feels great to have gazing eyes when you are on it, but when you aren't around, it makes you scare... just like having an extremely beautiful wife.

I think, I'd save the bucks for a 250cc/ atleast 30bhps.. Indian hopes, you see.

Yes I would buy both the bikes if i had the money. I may still buy FZ 16 cause i have the Apache RTR refresh which as sporty as R15 if not as fast.

Usually if the number to be rounded off is on the lesser side of 5 they floor to round off (that is set it to 0, in this case 153cc = 150), 7 CC difference is too big to floor it all the way to 16.0. Anyways whats in a name?
