U cant compare figs from two different publications (the FZ from zigwheels and RTR from Bike India)

The FZ can no way be faster than the RTR to 100km/h!

BIKE INDIA for instance quotes 0-80km/h timing of :
RTR: 10.01sec
FZ: 11.19sec

I go one up by saying the RTR is faster to 80 than 10 seconds.

Haven't rode the FZ that hard so cannot comment.

Rode both the bikes.

Enjoyed the RTR quite a lot. Though I didn't carry a stop clock, the RTR felt faster. It really has the "Racing Throttle Response"

Is there a reason you quoted my post?

My post was regarding the RTR being faster to 0-80 than the times given by the magazine, which is 10 seconds.

Actually I clicked quote by mistake..... I ride the RTR almost daily and have been on the FZ for a week.... the FZ is a strained bike... IMO all that jazz is a overkill on that mill.....

i booked my FZ orange color , i think in a city like bangalore FZ is a good choice, the city which has chaotic traffic. RTR was also my choice but i heard servicing for FI is only in TVS service center and TVS service is bad, also skidding problems. And also does 0-100 a difference of 1 sec matter :S i don't think we have drag tracks to race the bikes. Going for something with nimble handling, less vibration and comfort was my choice. After being a pulsar rider for 5 yrs.

The RTR is ideal for Short City stints amidst chaotic traffic in any city in India as it is at the race track in Chennai.

Handling..?? Apart from the R15, I felt the RTR best on slow and fast city turns.

The RTR does has vibey engine and a sporty riding position.. but then hey, it goes well with the "Racing Throttle Response" tag line of the bike. Doesn't it..??

Riding position on the FZ is relaxed and the engine smoother. There is a strong Torque in the Low and Mid range.. but like someone earlier pointed out, at high revs the engine does feel stressed on the other hand the RTR feels strong throughout the rev range.

But then as a City Traffic Tool the FZ16 is a good choice as well. Plus you know that your look sexy especially from the "behind" (courtesy the 140 mm rear tyre)
