I am no one to speak on Sunny's behalf...but I can understand his attraction towards the golden wing.
There are motorcycle fanatics and then there are perfection fanatics; these people who prefer Honda over other brands (count me in this) would never like an R1, Busa or Kwacker; though they will adore it. Guys dont kill me for this but am too excited on seein the 2009 Blade in a different thread.
To me, R1 is an excellent machine, but given the availability, I would any day prefer a Blade to an R1.
No intentions of starting any war of brands here...my heart and mind are unanimous on this "Blade" rocks.

Ill take that as a compliment. The day it doesnt win almost all the journos heart across the world, despite being tagged as 'ugly' from the front by 'professional designers' , Ill stop swooning!

I have no qualms in saying that I am unlucky riding the 08 R1 across India the second time, I always wanted it to be a Blade 08.

Not taking away anything away from the R1, its is just that the Blade is that unpretentious no frills no dramas athlete that looks like a greek god and not like a well built cool looking ramp model which can also run fast, very fast.

Read around international forums, you will understand what I mean...
