Well, I was warned by Suzuki at the time of taking the delivery that if I ride the clutch while riding instead of downshifting, i will have problems with clutch. So I am careful. However, I have only done 1/10th of the distance on teh ODO so am not at all in a position to comment on if I will have the same experience. One thing I know is that will happen in any machine if one rides the clutch... even in cars this happens.

As far as a Triumph III is concerned, it may be a nice bike, but no support in India means no go as far as I am concerned. On top of it - How much will it cost is also the question. I am sure it can be serviced by dealers but there is always a premium to it - isnt it?

I just finished a solo Delhi - Jaipur - Delhi on the Easter weekend and the bike handled beautifully - The ride was pure joy!

I did get it financed by the state bank. In my case the process was straightforward and it took 3 days for the bank to issue the draft to the auth distributor. Insurance was arranged for by the auth distributor.

Someday i too plan such a intercity trip but my family wont approve simply cox of my intra city accident

Awaiting your drive experiences & few pix for sure !
I stayed in Jaipur till Sunday with my parents. The road is very good from Delhi to Jaipur but the reverse is not so good with a lot of potholes and un-even surface especially in Rajasthan. The company that made the road is only collecting toll these days without bothering to maintain the road!!!!!

Biking and family usually do not mix well, but atleast in my case, there is no such thing and I decide what I want to do and when.

I wish you well for your future long rides... have fun and ride safe.

But seriously, how would the bike hold up, in case one has an easier start off the line, do not accelerate too hard and generally take it easy eh ?

Also any Bangalore Intruder owners in the house ???
I have seen one in Bangalore, so I hope there is !! Just needed to know how does it hold up on the speed bumps in Bangalore !!
Thanks for the post

All I could say, this semi-cruiser looks sexy. I will have to reconsider the VMax or the Intruder when i reach my 50s.

Its time to move the ground, the hills and the valleys and create a massive earthquake with the Intruder!

Thanks for the review and the awesome pics buddies.

Happy Biking, Responsible Riding to all!
Cheers XBHP!

Amazing Write up and what mind blowing pics. I enjoyed every bit of it more so because I own one too. I agree with most of the things that you have written, however let me highlight the points where I would like to add on.
1. If the road condition is bad then it is a tough to ride machine, if half of the moster tyre gets into a ditch, it drags rest of the bike with it, so I am more careful treading on bad roads now than I ever was. You could have also mentioned something about riding it in city traffic - I am sure in your 600 km some of it, would have been in the city
2. It leans despite the road clearance - I have a friend in Mumbai who drags the foot pegs at will on his intruder
3. I am just 5 feet 6 and I am quite comfortable with the seating postion I am surprised that you had trouble - could it be your racing bike mindset.

I think your burnout pic without actually burning out the Tyre was so - so awesome. Let me get hold of a dirt track and would have to post some on my own thread. But out and out I love the write up and pictures.

to say the bike is an earth mover is such an understatement. BTW the bike belongs to a good friend of mine who was(is) generous enough.
i usually ran out of road before even i hit the third !!

the pedals were a stretch for me 5``7` but even if you have to rob the bank , get yourself a ride on this !

cheers !

Awesome report and pics. Wonderfully put as always. The second pic does look funny in a way. The bike looks so huge that it makes the rider look like a kid.
