    Default Lubing moving parts.

    Hi folks,

    Which oil is best for oiling indicators buttons, side-stands, etc. after washing? I use motul for chain lube. Is it advisable to use the same?

    I guess chain lube should do the job.

    Best is to leave them alone after cleaning. Any kind of lubricant will attract dirt and dirt is the worst enemy for switches; esp choke button.

    Get a can of WD40. It helps alot.

    But parts like indicators buttons do not remain smooth after certain time. I believe that must be due to lack of lubrication.

    I believe WD-40 will solve keyhole rustings and all, but will it help to loosen plastic parts?

    WD40 works great with switch gears. Using thicker lubes can clog the contacts.
