DAY 14 : 28th August: In Leh
DAY14 28th AUGUST in Leh
Leh. The capital of Ladakh. And also fast becoming the capital of instant nirvana for credulous westerners. In the sixties there was the Beatles. And there was also Rishikesh. Now there is Ladakh. There are centers of Yoga, Meditation, Buddhism, Spirituality, Reiki, Kerala massage, so what if Kerala is just 3500 kilometers away on the other end of the subcontinent, Acupressure, and of course, each such center carries the mandatory prefix of “International”. Spirituality still lies in India and not in some dark, dank metro in the suburbs of Paris. And I was in the thick of it with the other core riders of the GIR. Sunny went to look for feasible Internet possibilities, Gasoline was in bed forever, Skyscraper went out to score women and maybe teach a thing or two about spirituality. I decided that on Day 14, I was going to stay in my room and put my feet up and update my texts.
