i understand your frustation..!! BCU and Noncontact(UG3 to UG4.5) switches are prone to more failures than regular switches.

Contact type ones switches are present in UG2 and UG5

You do one thing..!! The mechanic who suggested UG5 has some brain.. kudos to him..!!

Remove your existing wiring, BCU, Switches and buy UG5 original only(bajaj Genuine wiring kit in blue package) (Not Swiss make.. Be sure for it..!!!). and UG5 pulsar switches(Original Bajaj make)...!!

Also buy a Indicator flasher(Minda make). because without that your indicators will not work.

Ask your mechanic to remove indicator signal wires that are attached to T-stem of your bikes chasis.

Due to the problems in BCU, bajaj left bcu and contact less switches.!! Now they are using the switches(For Pulsar150 and 180) of Pulsar 135..!! Even the Duke series have the same Pulsar135 switches..!! P200NS, RS also donot have BCU..!! Even for the Pulsar220 2017, the BCU was removed.

The P135 switches are of awesome quality and im using them in my UG2..!!

Remember one thing.. UG5 wiring doesnt require BCU. Never ever do the same mistake buying BCU and non-contact switches..!!

As far as i know, you only require some modification for the socket of your meter. UG4 and UG5 meters have different type of sockets.

Enquire your mechanic if you can get/buy the socket for ug5. But at the end of the day. it can be done for sure..!!

One thing. Keep your discarded wiring with you as you might need it for future(if any)..!!

After going for UG5 wiring and switches, you can rectify your charging or Cdi or any problems in seconds..!!!

Any doubts message me. happy to help with my little knowledge.!!

btw i don't wanna use this digital meter,, ill replace it with smith replica speedometer as the digital meter is too damaged because of that bcu,,, and i'll change the head light too,,for mod purpose. So i don't require any mod for digital meter,
    .
    .
    .
anyway one more thing, if in future due to any reason the wiring get damaged, (specially because of rats) can it be repaired or i'll have to change the wiring harness.
as my local MEC. told me that its magnetic,, and i will have to change the whole wiring again in that case. Do you know anything about it.
    .
    .
    .

and brother, if again the two points (+ & -) of ignition coil get touched might be because of which that bcu got damaged for the second time,,
will there be any chance of wiring fault because of the same if i upgrade to UG 5 (contact switches) which again lead me to change the W.H

brother i want to know about it,, just to satisfy myself as i have spent ₹5500 on electrical part only,, and again if i upgrade or downgrade whatever it will cost me around,, 3500,,.. so please don't mind bro.

and bro you said p135 wiring and switch are same as that they are installing in p150 ug 5,,,,, but there are two different model of p135 ,, 2009 and 2010 which one ???

Smith speedometer..?? Just googled it.. Is it a Analogue one like my Pulsar UG2 meter..?? You want to go for it just because you like it or the existing digital meter is failed completely..??

you do one thing get your digital meter checked by meter repairing shops... just for getting sure that it is failed.. It can be repaired in some circumstances..

If you are stubborn for smith meter you have to replace the gear at the front wheel and meter cable with UG2.

Modding Headlight..?? Changing bulb anything than 35/35Watt will increase load on your battery and you have to make changes for your stator to support it. If you are going for higher wattage(60/55 watt bulb) you should go for stator rewinding.
If you are just using the same 35/35watt bulb, then there will be no problem.

As you are going for UG5 wiring, you are making your bikes electricals much much simpler than (UG3 to UG4.5) models. Any problem or cuts in wiring can be rectifed/repaired easily by the mechanic. I will give surety for it.

Haha.. Magnetic ..?? what does he mean by magnetic ..?? The wiring in UG3 to UG4.5 is based on sensors(may be some magnetic sensors), so it is a pain in a$$.

The UG5 wiring is much simpler and its a normal one. Any cuts in wiring, if it can be diagnosed can be fixed no problem, but if its worn out very very bad , replacing is better. But in your case the original wiring(UG5) will serve you for more than 5 years for sure. I am not sure about SWISS make wiring(It is not as durable as original wiring). dont go for it...!!

i have explained about P135 switches in this thread. if you have time go through it. http://www.xbhp.com/talkies/motorcycle-ownership-experiences/4984-bajaj-pulsar-150-all-versions-158.html#post1135503

BCU failing has many reasons. Shorting in different wires and sensors, humidity etc and to find it is a big headache because every time you check all the wiring and again you fix a BCU it might fail making a big hole in your pocket. In some cases it works just fine. I say it as PURE LUCK...!!!

Now as you are changing the whole wiring there will be no chance of Ignition poles + and - getting touched. if they touch spark will not be produced. so dont worry about it..!!

Also ask the mechanic to open the right hand side stator cover and check the stator coil wiring connections, whether they are in good condition or not. Ask him to do it infront of you. DO IT MANDATORILY..!!!

P135 switches are of same from starting. you just dont worry. Just ask for Pulsar UG5 wiring kit original (not SWISS make) and ask Pulsar UG5 switches. and MINDA indicator flasher (at Automobile spares shop).

One thing in my personal experience, i have noticed is, the switches (whatever) are not capable of handling our dual horns. so ask him to fix a relay(Minda horn relay. you can get it in any spares parts shop). It will definitely decrease shorting in your RH switch set and increases its life. JUST GO FOR IT..!! You can fix it yourselves if you want. Simple procedure. Also the relay somehow reduces stress on battery in my observation.

I know your pain bro, you have already spent a huge amount. so i am suggesting the best for you. Any doubts reply me bro. i am here to help. i will help you for sure.

    So things you need

    -- 1) UG5 wiring kit
--2) UG5 RH and LH switch sets
--3) MINDA Indicator flasher cum Buzzer
--4) MINDA Universal Horn Relay (My recommendation for more switch life ) 8 horn clips (4 clips for 2 horns and 4 clips for relay) and some 10 meters wire (good quality and good thickness wire. you can use remaining wire left at your home)

3 & 4 buy them at automobile spares shop

brother i dont use bajaj horn,,, i use hero horn,, that too single,,,

    now f*** bcu..... ... 😂😂😂😂

stator coil you mean magnet coil,, i have change that too,, but last time,, that was the main,, culprit,, as both the point of the coil got collapsed....

anyway that's fine,, but i'll get it check too..

😂😂😂magnetic??? even i don't know what he want to say,, but now i thing he qas talking about the sensor....

headlight,,, i am going tp change the front,, i'll just change the head light not the bulb,,
abhi 👀 ankhen achi hai hmari..🙋🙋🙋..

meter digital,, i dont like it,, i'll replace it with smith or with that yezdi or jawa meter,,, http://www.royalenfieldzone.com/yezdi.asp
here you can see that meter,
    old but cool...
btw it is analogue,,,.. but it doesn't have any icon which shows N or turn signal & any light. as it directly fitted to the wheel.
yeah i know i have to change the meter cable,, but i really don't know whether it will fix in that part of the wheel .

i have searched a lot about that but didn't find any topic on that ,,

let see will try to find and fit that gear which you are talking about,,, btw that part in which meter cable fit,, know as gear???? anyway

btw brother do you know anything about the stator relay,, that can be find just next to the battery,, right side,,,,,

and about that magnet,, which is present just behind the stator /magnet coil... in the engine whose rotation can be seen from that glass...
