I own Honda CB Shine from last 1 year (Model: Oct 2013, Self, Drum, Alloy).
I drove it on Bangalore's city roads as well as on highway. I have completed 10600 Km so far.
I always used Shell-Super petrol to keep the engine out of any contamination and get more mileage.
I have Gear shift problem with my bike
Its not comfortable at all. Shift from 1st to 2nd gear is very hard. Driving in traffic requires frequent gear shifts.
0-5 Km/h --> 1 Gear
Reached 5-8 Km/h --> Shift to 2 Gear (Pulling little bit more in 1st gear makes engine screaming and bike stalls at the spot)
Reached 12-15 Km/h --> Shift to 3 Gear
Reached 25-30 Km/h --> Shift to 4 Gear
This creates lots of inconvenience while driving in traffic
If gear is not shifted withing the above specified speed range, it either SLIPS during downshifting or STUCK during up-shifting.
Also change in gear not happens in one push of pedals. I have to push long way down and shift happens with 2 clicks... Kit...Kit...
If I am not pushing it hard and leaving the clutch after 1st click..... gear is getting stuck between middle of two position and engine is making weird wwwwhhhhhhhiiiirrrr........... sound. To recover from this situation.. only option is to switch off the engine and put gear to neutral in off condition (by dragging bike to and fro) and then start-over again.
There are other problems also in bike (vibration, chain noise etc) but this is very serious and makes bike unsafe to drive.
After so many complaint and fight with dealer, they changed the Gear shaft. But problem still exist.
I don't want to go back to their service center as they will ruin my bike doing trail & error.
I heard that gear shift problem is common in Shine but don't know the exact issues. If Honda is aware about this weird problem,
why they are selling this product.
If anyone know any Information, workaround or solution regarding this please help me.
