Hi,
Can anybody tell me where would I find a decent used bike in Bangalore. What are the best places to search. I know the best advice will be to go for a new one , but I relocate frequently and dont want to loose too much money by selling a new bike. I am looking for something in the 150cc family (except Pulsar -- no offense meant but I have had a bad exp with it before) OR cruiser (preferably enticer -- please advise on this one too). Are there any forums that I can look at (I tried sulekha and google etc) or any trusted dealers by members here. Any pointers will be really helpful. Thanks, Beo Last edited by gaurav_3000ad; 11-12-2008 at 07:17 PM. |

You can check out dealers near majestic and other areas... The condition of the bike will always be uncertain.
P.S: I have a Pulsar 150 ES and Discover 125 ES for sale.. ping me if you are interested. Reason for sale, bro heading to saudi, 2 bikes and 1 aadmi!!! |

Its best to avoid dealers man, they are daylight con-men. Contacts will work better.
Let me know what bike u need, I could help u with something. Since u dont want pulsars, ur options are used CBZs, Uni, Fiero, Apache, RTR, xtreme etc. |

Thanks for the quick replies guys...
@mac187, thanks for letting me know, but I am kinda skeptical abt Pulsars and bikes from Bajaj stable due to some past experiences. Again, I am no bike guru (more of a newbie) but this is simply a personal choice... @joel...thanks for the advice dude... I'm a bit short-5'4" (and not so heavy) and am comfortable with Apaches and cruiser types...I loved the Xtreme and Unicorn when I rode them, they handle very well but these were a tad tall for me. I guess its always good to be sensible rather than put your and the pillion's life at stake. Some ppl told me to get the seat modified and lower it by a couple of inches...but I dunno ![]() Thanks, Beo |

oops...left the details out, thanks haxor
I will use it mostly for commuting to work (8km-one way) and for some drives on the weekends (approx 100km or less), more at a relaxed pace (under 70 cruise). my budget will depend on the bike condition and year, I dont mind shelling out for a well kept vehicle which wont give me headaches...(I guess all guys on this forum will have spoilt their darlings with a lot of TLC ) But, the newer the bike the better...If we are talking about a upper limit on the dough, ummm maybe about 35-40k (again, strictly on the condition of the bike though). Lower the better, c'mon who doesnt like a good deal ![]() Beo |

U can get an apache 150 for around 30k odd. Pretty good ones.
Avoid Enticers man, they are hopeless and parts are a concern too. Get a Fiero, which is pretty cheap and ultra reliable. Would not cost u more than 25k for a mint one. Would more suit ur 5,4" figure. |

Thanks, thanks and thanks for the quick replies and suggestions.
I did look at a pretty good Apache150 (basic without disc and SS) but we didnt agree on the price . I've heard scary stories about vibrations on the bike (the classic apache) and the quality of the gear, is that true? The opinions on the Enticer have been a mixed bag so I dunno what to do But there arent many of those around (atleast not in good condition). I havent come across any Hunk's but that bike looks pretty heavy. Will keep looking...all help from you guys and suggestions abt other trusted places I can look at is really appreciated.
