Default Engine tweaking

What is Engine tweaking? what are the methods? which has more advantage, tweaked or normal engine?

Hi, I want to know how the power is increased in a engine(bike) without altering its bore/stroke for example honda shine and CBF stunner, Honda unicorn and CBZ extreme and in pulsar 180 (latest ug4 has increased power, but torque is decreased)

if there was a way of increasing the engine throughput w/o changing the bore size etc. then company would do it by itself from factory
a single change in your stock configs will require atleast 4 more changes to improve throghput.
just keep your carburettor tuned , spark plug clean , engine oil and air filter inspected and enjoy the peak power of your bike forever . Peak power is the power of your engine that it deserves.
no spark plug(iridiums) , air filter(k&n) or engine oil(synthetics) alone can give you power beyond that.
you must be asking how to tune carburettors etc.?

In CBZ extreme and Unicorn, there is no difference in the BORE x STROKE.There's a difference in the Camshaft that opens/closes the inlet and exhaust valves. The CBZ-x has high lift cams which allow the valve to open more than that present in the Unicorn. Everything except the cam is same in the Uni and the CBZ-x.That is the main difference which changed the power produced by the same engine block.

Altering the valves, port geometry, cylinder head, changing bore and stroke size are some of the methods of tuning engines which can change the power delivery characteristics of the engine vastly. Joel will be able to help you better. He is our in house Tuning GURU

thats impressive... i also heard that in Xtreme power delivery is not so uniform compared to Unicorn, and Xtreme is not as smooth as Uni why is that? which is more reliable?

thanks for the info...

Uni's engine is tuned by honda R&D
cbz's engine is tuned/detuned by hero honda (Has no R&D team)
the difference is clear i think so
