    Hi Abhi,
Need your help... I am taking the risk of winding old pulsar coil to single unit.

    This is what I learned

    1) now there are 6 terminals in the stock thing
    a) two for charging the batt
    b) two for lights
    c) two for ignition (which I shouldnt even touch)
    My dounts are:

    1) After winding there will be only 4 terminals out
    a) two for ignition
    b) two for Lights

    Please advice

Also I am borrowing your Winding diagram which U used to hlp the doc

I meant to say, that not all poles in avenger's coil are thick.

What I found is, in both avy's coil and pulsar's coil, there are poles where they have used thinner wires. So, that means a 19 gauge rewinded coil will yield more power than a stock avenger coil??

Also i wont be able to use a "rewinded coil to one unit" without a regulator (Pref Ape's RR) as it will over charge the batt.

pls crrct me if i'm wrong

I'm planning to come by 14th night, will start from here on 14th morning. Joel's visit would be on 15th, sure you can come! So, no other less-traffic routes?

By refering some other threads and posts this is what i learned, Please correct if i'm wrong.

Stock coil, 3 poles are used to for headlight and 4 poles for charging the batt. Ape RR is needed when a DC conversion is made. There Headlight current is taken from batt and all 7 poles of coil needs to be rewound to charge the battery. Thats why you suggested me to rewind the avy coil if I switch to ape RR.

    Please advice

I am not good at electricals. Instead of rewinding the coil, I have changed to avenger coil. then why do I have to rewind it again to use ape RR?

Shall I go for ape RR? and how much would a 55/60W HID cost. Is there mucuh difference between the prices of a 35W HID and a 60W HID?

Also, will I be able to put a 35W HID while running in avenger coil? And what alla changes do I have to make while making this switching?

Ok, I bought the avenger coil (Part DV 111005) cost is 532. But i dont find any noticeable difference in the winding thickness or number of turns. Bought it from an authorised spare parts shop in trivandrum. Iam worried if he gave me a Pulsar Coil in an avenger's carton!!!!!!!!!! Will mail you the picture this evening..
BWT I tried replacing the coil, but was not able to unscrew a couple of screws. Too tight. Will have to take it to a mechanic to get it loosend.

Hey, I actually have work at Koramangala, but my accommodation will be at Marathihalli. I'm going there to visit Joel. Since I'll be coming from Hyd, I'll have to go through all of the B'lor city I guess. Any ideas? I need to go to Marathihalli first, directly. And then, to Koramangala from there..
