Yeah, I have recorded a best mileage of 48kmpl, cruising between 85-105kmph. After that the mileage starts to drop though.

Thats good to know that the bike is running good now, but bore piston malfunction that early indicates serious manufacturing quality issues. Anyways, atleast you will have peace of mind now, since it has been changed under warranty. All the best!

Bore replacement needed due to manufacture defect in some batches of 2009 models,Few Bikes have problem even after replacement thats bcos ,they again replace with 2009 model bore...SO they should change to 2010 model(which is somewhat trouble free)..
Here is the guy latest did bore change(from xbhp page)
    4rth service update
    Hi Guyz,
Today i got my bike serviced........
    -----------------------
    Issues reported to svc:
    1)Engine knocking sound/boulder grinding sound.
2)Light series change from BA to CA.
For the above two i mailed complaint to Suzuki through contact us.
    Action taken:
1)RR unit changed to "CA" series
2)Got my bore and piston replaced with new one....
3)Changed to veedol 10w40 oil both in engine(1 liter) and in oil filter(250 ml)
    Result/improvement noticed:
2)Will report after covering 500 km.Initial reaction is the knocking sound is less than previous. The service guy told me to maintain the speed b/t 50 and 55 or b/w 4000 to 4500 rpm.
    Kasperrmat.

U have great knowledge abt mech of bike i should thank u very much for providing valuable info regarding all my query....Its the same info i got it too from fellow xbhp GS150 owner siva thru orkut
"that is called slip gauge, its a metal strip of exact known thickness. I think its common to all bikes (intake valve clearance 0.8mm, exhaust valve clearance 1mm) this clearance is ensured by placing the slip gauge in the gap.

It is known as the feeler gauge, and looks like a blade. It is not for adjusting, it is for measuring the gap (it has marking lines on it like a scale), as the gap must be precisely maintained at 0.1 or 0.2mm, according the specifications as suggested by the manual.

Thanks again,i went again to tell him to loose it,now the hamming sound gone, but hear the valve sound clearly...
what is the tool need to adjust valve? ..My mech now agreed() its a valve noise he need a blade like tool to adjust it properly.which is to be expected to arrive from main SC.When i call SC he told he will send soon...
I have a query? is that tool universal for all bike or there is one from OEM from suzuki bikes... SADly In my town except hero honda and TVS suzuki all are Sub SC only ,but bajaj have 2 sub SC, one of them is very good and the mech is trained by bajaj..
How much km will suffer due to valve ,I am getting 47 to 49kmpl compared to 52 to 54 in city....? previously
