Post monsoon NH17 is under repair...So for Goa follow below route

Pune - Kolhapur - Belgaum - Sankeshwar (From here you need to take a diversion from NH4) - Sawantwadi (NH17) - GOA...this is the shortest and fastest route for GOA..can be done overnight

Road ahead of Murudeshwara is not in good condition and you will face quite a traffic till Mangalore.

Thanks Biru bhai... Your information made me change my route wat about this route: Pune- goa (2-3 days stay)-mangalore-kozhikode-ooty (stay). Return journey-> ooty-mysore-bangalore-hubli-belguam-pune.

Any suggestions and special tips?? We have 7 days.. 7th Nov-13th Nov.

Road after Belgaum is in superb condition.Dharwad to Hubli its single lane.Ahead of that road is superb.

Go till banglore,take Nice road to bypass banglore and take Mysore road.Take the Banglore - Mysore highway..This is also 04 lane...from Mysore take the Bandipur route to reach Ooty.30-50 Kms before Ooty,there are two routes..one takes you to the lonely 36 or 32 (dont remember exact count)hair pin bend route.

It cannot be done in one day,until you ride for 20-22 Hours continuously..above routes is the fastest one.There are other routes too....but the road condition is not good

Hi Biru bhai, how's the road condition after Belguam..?? Are they good enough to reach ooty in a day from Pune?? Don't know the road conditions after belguam.
