Oh... my bike is 17 months old.... so I have to get it done. Do all PUC outlets do it for non-KA reg. vehicles?? Coz my bro tried at one in HSR... and they said... KA-PUC only for KA-bikes.... donno if others do the same. Lets see.

I will be riding from Hubli on thursday morning.... and will reach bangy by early evenings.

If your bike is a year old only then you need to do a PUC! Else you can ride without it.

And the PUC can also be done in Bangalore, no issues with that either. Mine completed 1 year when I was in Bangalore and have Bangalore PUC.

Try doing Hubli-Chitradurga in daylight, the road is there but is a bitch at places. For safety sake its best done with ample visibilty.

Thanks for the info.... I would be getting my PUC from here... and when it expires (after 6 months)... a friend will be getting it done and sending it to me from here.... so no issues for PUC.

You dont need NOC to ride here. Only need to pay the LifeTime Road tax which is 6K! NOC is required only if you need to change the registration to KA.

I've been riding without paying anything to the Govt.. Yes I've been caught quite a few times, but have paid only 100 bux till date! Few tricks, few stories and an eye to lookout for these buggers is all you need. But let me tell you not paying tax is a cognisable offence!

You have a TN registration bike running in Karnataka. Do you have a NOC done? Is it necessary? I haven't got anything made, and do not plan to get anything done. My brother is riding a MH bike since 6 months, and hes been caught twice... and left (though charged 200rs both the times). So any precautions that I should be taking?

And about your issue of bike stalling in the middle.... where should one call for help in Bangalore?? Could you pass on the numbers to me.....
Am riding on wednesday... will halt in Hubli (at my relative's), and reach on thursday evening to Bangalore.
