Few things i wud like to tell you Chinmay:
    1. Air filter is new (3 months old) K&N.
    2. I have told u before that i have upjetted to the ZMA's 125jets( which u told me is wrong fit) and Bajaj guy told me that the carb tuning is perfect.
    3. spark plug cleaned recently using a spark plug cleaning machine.
so that makes it Valve clearance and timing chain tension and timing chain pad only and my extra heavy weight.

4.Check for plug gap.5.Check the Air Filter. Some of the point I am giving u coz I have considered that the vehicle is not serviced. If u have recently serviced the bike then omit some points like plug cleaning and air filter cleaning.
    Let me know......

well i couldn't find d thread in common blog. so will tell u here only.1.Check d valve clearance. Check the setting of valve clearance adjuster.(since d sound of valve & rocker comes A LOT,after heat.coz 3rd 4th gear means bike already ran 4 long time. This sound usually comes after hot engine & under load. If d cleanrance is wrong or gone out of recomandation. so check it n get it done from Bajaj Guy. If u want clearance value then I will check it tormorrw n will let u know.)2.Check 4 timing chain tension and timing chain pad.3.Recheck d carb setting. AF screw 2.5to3 full turns.(sometimes lean mixture gives problem, coz rider generally try 2 rev high. coz he is 0 aware of mixture setting. So high reving makes engine under stress,so becomes hot either.)

I have posted this query on the Bajaj Pulsar 180 thread. I would love to hear from YOU specially. Could you throw some light on this issue of mine on the thread?

    Hi Chinmay,
    I have a small query....
My P180UG-III has done 18000km now. For the past 10000km i have been getting this knocking sound from the engine.. dunnno how to describe it... its like a fast repetition of this (katak katak) sound. How about the sound of nuts being ground in a grinder.. like that
I notice this knocking in 3rd, 4th and 5th gears esp in the 4000 to 4500rpm.
I am using a good synthetic engine oil for the past 8000km( not the same one-changed it twice)..
Could the experienced gurus out there explain what exactly this knocking is and how it can be rectified ( if possible).
