My 2-stroke fav listing goes like this:-

    1. Suzuki Shogun ( Black with Red ) ( Your Model )
    2. Yamaha RX100
    3. Suzuki Shaolin ( Blue )
    4. Yamaha RX135 4-Speed ( Black )
and last but not the least the humble workhorse,
    5. Suzuki MAX100R ( Red ) ( My Model )

I want to have atleast 3 (or) 4 2-Stroke bikes in my collection. I want to preserve 2-Stroke bikes for my lifetime...just take them and ride em once in a week and keep them safely in my garage and preserve them more than the richest jewel in the world...Yamaha RX100 and RX135 models are somewhat easier to get than Suzuki Shogun and Shaolin models...but the Shogun and Shaolin and more closer to my heart than their more popular Yamaha rivals.

Thanks Coolkar, as I already told you before, the Suzuki Shogun is my most fav 2-stroke bike. I would really like to buy an used one now but seeing what my both my mechanic and you are telling, It looks like even if I manage to get my hands on a shogun now, it won't be a true shogun...I'm mean the parts which make the bike what it truly is...as you've rightly mentioned, the 'Japanese ART piston' and also the Japanese Mikuni VM20SS Carb and the lubrication system which is taken from the Suzuki RC100 and ofcourse the tricone megaphonic silencer for that meaty roar to shock all other the bikers...I still haven't given up my mind on getting a shogun and then restoring and preserving her with me for my lifetime...so while the shogun is 'The Ultimate 2-stroke' for me, currently I'm looking to restore my MAX100R to absolute mint condition. I'm also looking to get my hands on a Yamaha RX100 or RX135.

Thanks coolkar...I'm not a writer but when speaking of something that I'm so passionate of the words just flow from my heart. Last week I got my MAX100R serviced from my local mechanic. I talked with him about the Shogun...how much a used Shogun would cost now, availability of spares etc...He told that the cost of getting a used shogun will vary depending on the location we live and getting spares for the bike is not easy...especially the core engine/gearbox parts...plz tell me about the availability of spares for your shogun...One more thing, you've mentioned your bike as 'My 5-speed Shogun' isn't the shogun a 4-speed one?. Did you carry out any modifications?...

Actually the Blue colour Suzuki Shaolin is my fav 2-stroke during my school days bcauz it has 138cc, 5-Speed, Gear Indicator console etc...but an article in Overdrive mag about the Suzuki Shogun opened my eyes and changed my perception completely, it was an article completely dedicated to the shogun, why it was launched, and about its heavily ported screaming engine, 14bhp from 108cc!!! etc...all impressed me very much and the red and black colour shogun you have now took the 'Most-desired 2-stroke bike' crown in my heart...please maintain your bike in good condition and don't sell it for money under any circumstances...the Shogun is a brilliant 2-stroke its uniqueness known to only a few lucky souls like us...

Thanks coolkar, I love all Suzuki bikes, my dad is a Suzuki fan, he still uses his red colour IND-Suzuki AX100 bought before his marriage. During my school days the blue Suzuki Shaolin is my dream bike, but since its very rare, he bought me a used Suzuki Fiero instead which I still use today. I also got a used Suzuki MAX100R 4 months back...check out my pic album...
