The guy will check the voltage of the battery. He will also check it under load. If it shows less than normal, its defective.

Starting the bike with h/l ON means that starter may not get full power. No other harmful effects as such. Your loads are OK. Amarons are lately known for being defective. Try and replace it. If the new battery too does not work, check your wirings. Also are the batt terminals clean?

    Hi Bro,
I have a 2005 model ZMA. I suspect that my battery is not charging.
I fitted a new Amaron 9ah battery 2 months back and now it is almost dead. I think the battery is not charging. Here is my load consumption
    1. Indicators (stock bulb)
    2. Headlamp (Philips Crystal vision 55/60W)
    3. Buzzer for indicators
    4. Tail Lamp.
    5. Stock horn

I sometimes (often) forget to switch off the lights before turning off/on the ignition. I know this is harmful. But can u elaborate more?

What could be my problem bro? Is my battery capacity too much to be charged? is there something I should fit extra?

    Regards,
    Ranjith Coapullai
