    R1 gets unbearable hot. You just cannot continue riding the bike. No such problem with the blade.

    The Indian site one is the 2010 model. The colours for different continents can be different. For example a 2010 American R1 can be different in colour than Europe. But Indian website black R1 with golden alloys is definitely 2010 model..

    i asked cuz.... i saw both 09 n 10 R1... d prob is on site hv seen a full raven black R1..thts 09 model... n on india site...10 R1 is in with gold alloys... bt tht very same model is referred as 09 on other sites....

    There is not much difference between 2009 and 2010 R1 apart from colour. I do not know of any official difference. But 2010 being a newer model, I am sure there would be a few subtle differences...

    R1 is very wild and fireblade is very well behaved. You can only know the difference when you ride both.
    Blade is more comfortable to ride.
    Both are very good bikes..
