    Well it depends on how you have the coil winded. If the winding is done in stock type with better gauge then it won't work. You need to get the winding done again. Basically ur coil output should be just 2 wires.

    Nothing like that.. tell me how many coils did he wind? I guess its 2 coils - the battery coil & stock RR is kept as it is and he rewinded the h/l coil. If he did it that way, its not the correct way to do. A single coil needs to be rewinded and fed to the APE RR unit for best results.

    Did you try at the place I told? You can use a multimeter to measure the current flow into the h/l and see. Basically, if the h/l glows well at lower rpms, it should be fine.

    Yes you should. I have used APE rr unit for 100/90W without any issue. If the winding is proper, the APE RR should work. Buy the one with 4 wires only. I got it from a APE SVC near hennur signal.

    That should work, but more reliable would be to get stator coil + RR unit from the new ABS Apache which is all DC. That circuit takes the AC o/p from RR unit and feeds it to battery. But, I am not sure of the exact wires for Apace.
