Please feel free to call me anytime buddy. I'll be happy to help you with whatever little knowledge I have. Which city are you in, btw? I live in Hyderabad&come to Bangalore every month. At present my bike is in Bangalore-had ridden down for Diwali&couldn't bring it back due to heavy rains. I'm going tomorrow, so will bring it back this Monday mostly.

No, the bar blinks in the last half litre or so, after the bike hits reserve it creates a meter with F 0.0, that is what I'm talking about. Once you fill fuel again, it dissappears within 10kms.
Have a look at what I wrote, as well as the manual. I don't think your bike can give such low mileage-its just that you are calculating it wrongly.

That F meter is not reliable buddy, it comes on correctly when the bike is running, but if you park it on the side stand and start it after a few mins., it will show you two bars!
That is why I reset tripmeter 2 as soon as the bike hit reserve (F starts at 0.0)
For your bike, I would say fill in an even amount of fuel say 10 litres as soon as the bike hits reserve, reset tripmeter 1, then check how many kms.you travelled till it comes back to reserve next time.
