Thanx a lot janesh. Wat i came to know after reading in internet that R1 >> R2 and to make the flash rate (frequency) around "1" 0.693(R1+2R2)C =1 apprximate value of R2 coming out to be around 72K ohm.mine is 58 K ohm, shouldnt be that much of a problem.will try after changing the values as mentioned by u ..
both the capacitors can be of any volt rating >12 na?
    thanx

    Hi Saurabh..
    1. You require a relay to switch the 12VDC from battery to the flasher circuit i.e. the indicator lamps. so it is absolutely essential.
    2. Where do u use 50K ohm resistor. Use the resistors as i have mentioned. R1=10Kohm,
R2=68Kohm and C1=10uF. Voltage of this C1 can be anything above 12V.
Most likely cause is the resistor values.
    3. U need to add the 0.01uF at pin 5 as i have used it.
    4. Do not forget to Ground the Pin 1.

The output at pin 3 can glow a led, operate a relay as the voltage is high enough.

Try again with the values i have given and let me know.
