    Oh, i changed my oil yesterday - Just a simple Castrol 20 W 50 - It runs smoother than before though - Will try Motul next time.. Thanks

    Dude,

    Try Motul semi synthetic. Works beautiully. AFAIK, it comes in 10W50 spec.

    oh thank you so much.. my next oil change is only after 2000 kms, and my next ride to munnar wil cover around 1200 kms.. will carry a pack of engine oil for back up then

    Change oil as per schedule. If your oil is scheduled to be changed justt after a long ride, it is better to change it before the ride itself. BTW, the TBTS has a spec of 15W50. So stick to the RE prescribed oil. Wait for some more time before you go synth or semi synth.

    even Im planning to change my engine oil after this month's long ride

    So, should which one should i change to? And should i change before my trip or after?
