The previous trip I had kept it above 120 for long periods, I must have gripped the handle really tight to keep the bike steady. This time I maintained the speed around 90kph and stopped every hour like you've written on your blog. My hands are fine now. Thanks ken

My fingers do actually go numb if I ride long hours on bikes like the R1 or similar bikes. But not the 220. What I do is while riding, I let go off the throttle and let my arm hang lose by the side once in a while while a clench and unclench my fist/fingers for a few seconds to restore circulation. I do the same with the left hand too. One has to make sure that the circulation is not cut off for long periods of time.

    hello

I ride the pulsar 220cc and last time I went for a long trip about 9hours drive, every two hours I'd stop. stretch. do the needful. drive on. I used pro bikers gloves, but my hands became numb and I had to return the next day ..same 9 hour drive. My hands were numb for about a week, the finger tips were weak and I had difficulty in carrying/lifting objects.

I know you do longer trips on much better bikes do you have any suggestion for me how to avoid this numbness of the hands/palms. I'm planning on another long trip this friday so your input will be valuable. thanks mr. ken
