You've already installed it? I guess it shouldn't be a problem if you don't ride it that much...

Right now, i am in a dilemna !! Getting the adjustments done itself is a herculean task, as i dont know where to get it done?? Do u have any idea whether any one has done it? Also these days, i am staying away from home and i rarely use the bike, like i use it only during holidays for about 5 days in a month. So, i guess its not much to worry about.

I dont wanna conclude by saying it will ruin your bike or its not safe. But over the long run, you'll have multiple problems like very low mileage (20kmph) and loss in power. As soon as you put it though, you'll feel slight improvement, but thats it. If you wanna put it, then put it properly with all the adjustments and you bike will really fly!

So, i guess its not safe to use it right now??

No re, because of that reason, I didn't get it installed at all! I am not sure how to do the adjustments nor do I know how to explain to anyone to do it. In carburettor bikes, you can easily adjust with just a screwdriver... but not in our FI bikes ...

Have u got it the adjustment done? Like, how can i explain them in simple words..most of them will not know about this i am sure !!

Hey, installed the K&N? Well, the R15 isn't designed to self-adjust the Fuel intake when excessive air from the new filter comes into the engine. So what happens is, you'll have more air than normal coming in, but the amount of fuel being pumped is the same, so combustion won't take place like it should. Your bike will run lean and there might be a gradual drop in performance and mileage over a period of time. If you want to keep the filters, then get your Air-to-Fuel ratio adjusted from a competent service center.

hey, i installed the K&N RC1060 air filter 1 week back. I love the sound, but i am worried about the negative consequences. Whats your opinion on it ?
