Check by quoting your chassis no.to local dealer as well as Yamaha, they will state whether it is eligible or not.

You've already installed it? I guess it shouldn't be a problem if you don't ride it that much...

yes, the bike did seem to heat up more with the K&N installed. The effect seemed reduced once i put the air-box lid back on. The culprit is the lean fuel mixture. i hope someone finds a place that can tune the bike's AFR....

Hey, I don't think the SVC guys know how to adjust the A:F ratio, since this is a fuel injected bike. I suggest you don't keep this on for too long-it will ruin your engine in the long run.

I dont wanna conclude by saying it will ruin your bike or its not safe. But over the long run, you'll have multiple problems like very low mileage (20kmph) and loss in power. As soon as you put it though, you'll feel slight improvement, but thats it. If you wanna put it, then put it properly with all the adjustments and you bike will really fly!

how much did u pay bro? i paid Rs. 1890/- for the filter. The sound was toooo loud for my liking, so i put the filter box lid back. Most mechanics leave it open. With the lid back on the bike sounds almost stock, but with a slight growl to it. No real difference in performance. I actually feel the performance has dropped a little. but mileage goes up a lil.. not much tho. jus 2 - 3 kmpl i reckon. Only advantage of this Kn'N i see is that we dont have to keep replacing it like the stock filter.
