Hi,
Need one small info. Heading out to Dalhousie tomorrow.
There seem to be two routes
1. Delhi-ludhiana-jalandhar-pathankot...
Have heard that the jalandhar to pathankot stretch is a real pain with bad roads.
2. Delhi-Ambala-Chandigarh bypass-bilaspur-onwards..
Want to see the Bhakra Nangal Dam if it is in this route.
This route is 40km longer most probably.

Any thoughts which would be a better route :-)

Well U made me jealous dude. Chd-Kaza in a single day. well its over that 500 k mark & that also in mountains. I guess that last check post 35 km before Tabo will cause some problems for u in passing by. Moreover instead of kaza u can halt at Tabo. U got more options in hand. as Tabo-Manali is very well possible too... Otherwise it is completly my opinion. Every thingy is possible out here. but acc to my xtremes with least stops & sutta breaks, it must take you some 19 or 20 hours for tabo itself. Still lets see. do give it a try. Me too will try doin Delhi-Sangla (or Chitkul) on the first day itself. Be Around & keep me updated sir.

but some1 here wrote that Kaza- losar is closed i guess Old fox. Still lets see. Nd what about your spiti ride. Any plans fixed.

The official road marker , leh.nic.in , still shows the road as closed.
