hi Ronak, I was going thru your posts on the AC-DC conversion thread. I won a GS150R and would like to convert mine to Full DC. This is a Idea I had in mind. COrrect me if I'm wrong:

Build Custom Bridge or Full Wave Rectifier and Connect it to the Lighting coil and route it to the battery. From the battery I'll Route it through a switch followed by a relay to the HID ballast. From the ballast I Connect my HIDs. Im not keen on getting my coild rewound. I'm planning to give a shot at custom rectifiers as Im a Radio DIY enthusiast. I can handle Electronics with ease, but I really dont get a Idea of y bike's wiring.

    thanks

Oh sorry i thought the new Fazer. I am not aware of how the coil setup is available in FAZER. Pulsar, Unicorn, ZMA all have different type of setups. Donno how Yammy's ve.

Basic thing you got to do for DC conversion is by removing AC inlet to Headlight switch and power it with DC power that will be available from ignition (i.e key). Then you got to power 2 relays and then control it with Hi/Low beam switches. So the DC conversion is done.

This actually gives power to ur headlight from battery but battery won't be getting charged sufficiently. Kindly go thru this thread. Repeating everything wont be simple and i may miss things too.

If you still have queries then do post it in the same thread or create new one. Either Abhi/Sajan/me or anyone who has done that job can help you.

Try to get Fazer wiring diagram so it ll be easy to figure out.

Fazer already has DC setup so HID is just plug n play. Just instal relays to save your switch gears.

If you are @Thane then you might as well try Vasai.... there are some places that I know off.... but nothing is like special and all... just usualy second hand stuff... The reason I said Vasai is coz it also comes under Thane RTO so you would not have any problems with the numbers and all.

Will have to check of the M800 though... just now a friend sold hers for like 20k!
