Don't worry..... I was anyway going to ask him to show me the bike from where he took the radiator as it did not look like new. had few bent fins, although little. But did not look like new. No serious issue in it though.. thanks for your info.
OK....don't want to made thing complicated....please ignore my comment .....Now I'm feeling guilty....This is the time to congrats you instead I already made a damage.
Your Bike's work done at 25/01 at the time I visiting SVC to claim my tyre warranty and know the procedure....almost the whole day I was there.
The whole day 2 mech serviced your bike and one guy clicking pic with his camera (guess the insurance guy). The black test ride bike is standing beside there with both side faring strip down and the radiator hose cover by a plastic bag tighten by some rubber band. (I specially observed the TD bike if it met any accident or damged none I saw so far).
[there are 1 display bike in the sales area and 2 at the PDI with all plastic wrap for waiting delivery(saw when I need to use bathroom).....untouched]
Please note I didn't see/present during the time of your radiator installation,so please consider as a useless info.BTW how much we need to see to figure 2+2 = 4.If it is new + good condition there is no point argue.
Around 3 PM,first TD done by Bablu, then every mech going for spin with your bike if they not even remotely connected with CBR.
Are you sure its from the test ride bike?? When I asked them, they said its from a new bike. I again asked them to confirm that if it is from the test ride bike, I'll not take it. By the way, I'm yet not quoted the cost of the radiator. Where did you get the 14,500 price from??
Then probably it IS the tappet noise. See, engine knocking can be at any gear. While riding, be aware of the RPM at which you're riding rather than worrying about the right speeds at the right gears. Anyway, I don't think any Honda SVC in Kolkata has the competency of checking valve clearance. Which brings me to the question, where do the Fireblade owners get their bikes serviced? Probably some bloke from Delhi is flown in by Honda as it used to be done earlier.
Nope.....Hope I'm not mistaking, engine knocking means some jerking/vibrations and sound come like "dig dig" like the bassy sound. It only happens when low speed and the bike in high gear usually in jam packed signal and forget to lowering the gear.....Right ? and just open the throttle and we get engine knocking
This I'm talking about pure treble sound "ting ting" with adequate gear. Most probably 2nd gear and needle touch 3k rpm and that sharp-treble sound come from there.
No that doesnt cause tappet noise. I hope you're not mistaking the knocking at lower revs to be tappet noise. Avoid riding at engine speeds below 3k RPM. And for the sixth gear, avoid below 4th. Basically never lug the engine. 4 -5 k RPM is fine.
