Lubing once in 500 kms is good thing..

MRF used in FZ is 140/70 only.. R15 V2.0 is 130/70.. Duke have 150/60 MRF.. Not sure about CBR 150..
I am just waiting for someone to try Duke's tyre on CBR..
I think someone here in Ownership thread said that he has changed to Dunlop. Try asking the feedback and comparison from him.

Even I am waiting to get answer for ur last question

I lubed my chain every 500 Km with Motul Chain Lube before that I clean it with Motul chain cleaner - The variant is the Street most probably. As I bought Paddock, I do it regularly which is 5min Job.

    I followed this procedure,

Clean and Lube Your Chain - YouTube

Chain tight in once at 1st Service during 595Km ODO, and last paid service done at 2800Km the mech at SVC said chain condition is OK. no need to tight...That's all.

    About Tyre.....

FZ tyre is the 140/60 right ? Yes, I also hard about the FZ tyre mishap.
What is new R15 V2.0 come with ? CBR150 & Duke also come with MRF right ?

    hmmmm......then we stuck with Contigo.

How many times a user can claim warranty for the tyre ? Any limitation ?

same here in terms of knowledge ion engine and other stuffs
this might sound noob, but still, how many times have you tightened and lubed the chain so far?

The replaced tyre has done close to 1700kms so far and going good. I am not sure how good the Dunlop is when compared to Conti. MRF ones are those used in FZ series right, in my opinion those are good for speeds till say 80kmph around corners but after that u have to compromise on that. Reason being it flat profile whereas conti one is round profile. And also I have heard FZ tyres are prone to puncture and adding the extra weight of CBR it might be worser than in Yamahas.

I'm experiencing this noise since I cross 2k km mark and it is around early December. Before that which is not there.

I'm also a layman about engine and such stuff....but I'm sure this sound come from only engine itself...not faring/screw/mirror or any other place.
    -----------------------------

About your replaced Contigo Tyre, Is it develop any crack ? How many KM's you rode with new tyre ?

I also want to know is it worth to do the replacement of the same Contigo or I look for another manufacture like MRF/Dunlop ?

I know the PSD are best, but they only available via several middle man...cost is high as well as any warranty claim will be great PIA..so don't want to grab right now.

I am not sure if it is the Tappets.. Also as I said earlier, I am not quite good at these things..
Since how many days are u having this noise coming?

Is tappet noise related to RPM? Please shed some knowledge on this.

Regarding Tyre replacement, yes I left my bike at SVC for 3 days.

    Thanks for the reply.......

    I don't know.....now I'm confused. What I experienced is :-

at 3k rpm in 2/3rd gear there are some "Ting Ting" sharp treble note come from the engine......once I rev it higher the sound gone. As I doubt it a tappet noise ? or isn't ?

The sound developed as I guess after crossing 2000KM mark. Currently my ODO reading 3.4KM.

    Hi,

First of all, i have just clocked a little over 6k kms in 7 months. So i think that is nothing extensive comparitively.
I believe there is no tappet noise in my bike. But also i have not yet experienced any tappet noise personally in any bike. Just have some knowledge by going through internet. Regarding the chain i have just tightened it once so far. I haven't done any valve clearance, so can't comment on it. Hope they will be capable to do

    Contact person in TODI
Kunal (SVC Manager) - mobile: 9831447737
    Abdulla (Mechanic).

BTW, do you feel tappet noise in your bike? How much have u clocked in your CBR?

    Hi,

As you owned the CBR long time here and I believe you rode the bike pretty extensively and clocked some handsome KMs with your bike.

    My question is,

1.do you have any tappet noise issue in your bike ?

    2. If yes, Do u ever try to rectify the problem by consulting the Tody ?

    3. Are they capable of doing Valve clearance tasks in CBR ?

    4. If So which mechanic need to lookout for in Tody SVC ?

    Thanks in advance.

No hurry reply at your peace.

    1. It was for all the customers. Think there were customers from other dealer as well.

    2. No charge for the membership.

But I still don't know why it was dealer specific and not for all CBR customers.
