Don't worry..... I was anyway going to ask him to show me the bike from where he took the radiator as it did not look like new. had few bent fins, although little. But did not look like new. No serious issue in it though.. thanks for your info.

Are you sure its from the test ride bike?? When I asked them, they said its from a new bike. I again asked them to confirm that if it is from the test ride bike, I'll not take it. By the way, I'm yet not quoted the cost of the radiator. Where did you get the 14,500 price from??

Lubing once in 500 kms is good thing..

MRF used in FZ is 140/70 only.. R15 V2.0 is 130/70.. Duke have 150/60 MRF.. Not sure about CBR 150..
I am just waiting for someone to try Duke's tyre on CBR..
I think someone here in Ownership thread said that he has changed to Dunlop. Try asking the feedback and comparison from him.

Even I am waiting to get answer for ur last question

same here in terms of knowledge ion engine and other stuffs
this might sound noob, but still, how many times have you tightened and lubed the chain so far?

The replaced tyre has done close to 1700kms so far and going good. I am not sure how good the Dunlop is when compared to Conti. MRF ones are those used in FZ series right, in my opinion those are good for speeds till say 80kmph around corners but after that u have to compromise on that. Reason being it flat profile whereas conti one is round profile. And also I have heard FZ tyres are prone to puncture and adding the extra weight of CBR it might be worser than in Yamahas.

I am not sure if it is the Tappets.. Also as I said earlier, I am not quite good at these things..
Since how many days are u having this noise coming?

Is tappet noise related to RPM? Please shed some knowledge on this.

Regarding Tyre replacement, yes I left my bike at SVC for 3 days.

    Hi,

First of all, i have just clocked a little over 6k kms in 7 months. So i think that is nothing extensive comparitively.
I believe there is no tappet noise in my bike. But also i have not yet experienced any tappet noise personally in any bike. Just have some knowledge by going through internet. Regarding the chain i have just tightened it once so far. I haven't done any valve clearance, so can't comment on it. Hope they will be capable to do

BTW, do you feel tappet noise in your bike? How much have u clocked in your CBR?

Then probably it IS the tappet noise. See, engine knocking can be at any gear. While riding, be aware of the RPM at which you're riding rather than worrying about the right speeds at the right gears. Anyway, I don't think any Honda SVC in Kolkata has the competency of checking valve clearance. Which brings me to the question, where do the Fireblade owners get their bikes serviced? Probably some bloke from Delhi is flown in by Honda as it used to be done earlier.

No that doesnt cause tappet noise. I hope you're not mistaking the knocking at lower revs to be tappet noise. Avoid riding at engine speeds below 3k RPM. And for the sixth gear, avoid below 4th. Basically never lug the engine. 4 -5 k RPM is fine.

Put in a query with Kishore.. He'll be able to tell you in a better way if Todi guys will be able to diagnose a Tappet noise issue. I have had a very small interaction with Todi. That too, mostly during the CBR club meet.
