Dude, I think you have got it wrong. You CANT use 20W50 as 2t oil!!! And which Castrol are you using for engine oil? Super TT or Jet X? I hope it is Jet X... Super TT is not amongst the better ones.

I suggest you use the recommended grade only. That is 20W40 right? 20W50 is not a good idea... you will get all kinds of advice from everyone... but 99% of the time, its better to stick to what the company says.

Motul 510 is the new one... in the sense that it has been imported into India for the 1st time (from france). You can use it with the pump or even as pre-mix. Cost is approx Rs. 400 for 1 litre bottle.

I have bought a bottle but am yet to use it as I have to wait for the exisiting jet x to get exhausted. 2 guys I know are using Motul 510 and have found it to be the best in all ways. The latest is Ameya Gandhe (find him in my friends list... you can ask him). He is using Motul 510 and Gulf 20W40 and finds them extremely good.

It feels as if the Gladiator has a low grunt in the initial gears,but that is just what you feel, it hasn't got a jerky feel like Discover or pulsar..

and to add to its personality when it comes to yam engine,yam has kept in mind that there is some power still in the bike even after you cross 6k RPM band,however, in Discover and Pulsar,both may not show you this!

Its hard to speculate mate. It could be the jets, the tuning etc. Would only know if one rode the bike

Better oils can reduce vibes big time, even in 2 strokes! Recently one of my friends, who is also on this forum, tried Motul 510 2t and Gulf 20W40 in his Shogun, on my suggestion. He says he can now hardly feel if the engine is on!!

Which oils are you using currently?
