Hi Praful,

Nice to hear from you and we missed you at the g2g.
Here been tied up with work, office relocation etc hence delay in trip log. Hopefully shall post it by this week-end including few videos.

Yeah, I got my wheel straightened. Guy did a fantastic job. Not on JC Road. He is on the way to Ashoka Pillar. I left his card at home in blr. I its called Auto Car Care Center (he does all kinds of alloy repairs). The direction is- when you are going on Double Road (KH Rd), you hit the dead-end at lalbagh gate. Take a left and continue along the lalbagh compound. Then take the first right along the compound & he is immediately on the left side. They sell tires, alloy wheels etc. He does it at his workshop somewhere behind. Takes about 1/2 hour and since I told him mine was a yamaha 400c bike wheel!! he charged me Rs 500 which includes him removing the tire & put it back for you etc.

I have one more person who will be coming with me for sure.. I have few family commitments around 3rd week of Oct 2011.. I thought of adding this with my schedule.. Anyways.. based on other posts the bike available in Leh is not dependable.. You may probably have to pay the toll for their improper maintenance.. As of now I planned to buy and send the bike to Chandighar and ride from there.. Will keep you posted... can you send me your direct email ID and phone number if I have to contact you... Cheers Krish

Hi Praful, Few of my friends are planning to do Ladakh trip this next year.. May be October 2011. First is it a right time of the year for the trip? If you were using GPS can you provide the GPX file to import into my GPS... Is there a place I can rent the bike? Buying and selling the bike is too much to handle..
