Hi, must share a fantastic ride with you. The pleasure of patient , slow and controllled driving. Alongwith four other friends ( Hayabusa, Ducati monster, Ninja 250, Comet and me on the CB1000r) worked as lead pilots for the Pune International marathon on Dec 6th. Average speed of 20-22kms over 42 kilometers, all traffic halted, a cop siren vehicle ahead , hoards of Puneites lined up and fantastic Kenyan "supermen" running behind , it was perhaps the best ride till date, real driving bliss. Who needs speed ????

I currently own a Karizma. Nice 'spectrum in just two' bike collection you have there. And yes, that need-for-speed does get replaced by perfection in function over time. Though a hard blast once in a while keeps those reflexes from going rusty.

Yes, age does not diminish passion ( even for bikes )..I ride the Honda CB1000r and also have lovingly maintained a BMW F 650 - perhaps the only original white coloured bike in India. My biking is for fun and not so much for raw speed ( the cost of part replacement of the bike and the rider serve as a deterrent). I get greater pleasure in peacefully driving a polished, gleaming bike whose every part is in perfect order than blasting at 160 kmph. Off roading on the BM is another delight . What is your steed ? Best Wishes, Prashant

Thanks Prashant. Glad you've liked it and gladder still that you've prompted your sons to read it too. The earlier the better in safety and sensibility. What bike do you ride? I see that we belong to the same motorcycling genre - I am 42 and found no less on two wheels than when I was 24. Would be happy to see you more often on the forum.

The Safe Driving Compilation is fantastic. You have covered all the aspects in toto. As a superbiker, I went through all the articles with great relish. I have made both my teenage sons read the compilation so that they know the norms. Many thanks for such a comprehensive manual - never have read any better.
