also ps2 was and is the largest selling console in the world so you shouldn't worry about availability of ps2 games. not to mention you can run ps 1 games as well in your ps2, though same applies to ps3 as well.
hey ananth, how you doing? i am very new to gaming consoles. till now PC was my entertainment hub but i got a ps2 just to have a hang of it. I am not a hardcore gamer but yes, wanted a separate console for games as PC games (specially new ones) have some really high configuration that doesn't run even in my newest laptop.
there is a HUGE difference in the pricing and performance of ps2 and ps3. haven't played on ps3 personally yet but heard its the best ps till now. however, i have modified my ps2 so that it can play copied game DVDs as well, resulting in voiding its 1 year warranty, one thing you wouldn't want to do with your new 23,000 bucks ps3.
Hello. Just saw your post w r t a PS2.. I was just wondering if i should get a used PS3 or a new PS2.. Which one should i go for? How about the new games that come in, would they release games fr PS2?
