I understand your concern bro, but the problems are:

Mostly every suggestion thread is treated like a mud slinging thread by some members. And it becomes hard to implement too many suggestions, as in an open thread, suggesting is easy but implementation is tough and/ or time consuming.

Say, in 1 day, 10 members give 10 suggestions. But we definitely can't implement 10 suggestions in 1 day or week.
Many say, "Add thanks button to posts, delete spams, etc, etc." We do the best we can, but our effort has its limits. We can't add Thanks button because our board (VBulletin) doesn't support it, can't delete spam because the senior members will object, and so on...

So, the staff doesn't keep a suggestions thread open anymore... However, if you do have some suggestions, send me and all the other staff a combined PM. We (Anant and me) have site related powers, while Sunilg, Noor, etc. can make wider changes.
