I am extremely sorry for the late reply regarding the kit.

If your query is still unanswered, regarding the tools required.

    > if you are able to get the tool kit supplied from bajaj, then it will be great as they are compact and fit easily in the hood, but yea some tools are missing.

you will need a box or ring spanners (ring preferably) for opening airbox,6/8

for adjusting chain slackness, plugs you can use the stock tools supplied, (for plugs use rubber bands, or better to get a box spanner for it, dun exactly remember the size, should be 20~22 or 24~26, dunno too many numbers in my head atm.)

get a plumbers wrench to help with chain slackness adjusting.

No idea about the tool required for suspension adjustment. as i haven't tried it out myself.

That being said, i dun have any idea about the price for a replacement toolkit, so i suggest you look for options before u buy, only advantage of stock kit is that its really compact, but the tool quality isnt great.

    Hey Saerius,

I'm looking to replace my non existent toolkit (previous owner lost it). You had posted while back with some tool recommendations(http://www.xbhp.com/talkies/motorcyc...tml#post589441). I was wondering if those are all the tools that are required for basic maintenence (adjusting stuff including suspension and all, changing spark plugs and all that, chain tightening) or are there any more required.
I'm going to buy a replacement toolkit and would really value your advice on that.

    Thanks mate,

    Thanks Mate for the reply.

The bike is indeed more than a year old and I will get those gaskets checked out.

Checking the braided lines for damage is something I didn't think of, I'll get that done.

I need to check out the kits that plug into the ignition, I went to J.C. Road (Bangalore's auto modification central) and spoke to a few guys who do such mods and install such stuff but I wasn't to confident about them not wrecking my electricals I'll probably PM one of the guys who's already installed such a system on the 220 and find out.

Hello friend, I noticed your post in the P220 thread.

Thought to respond to you in vm as the thread has progressed a few pages.

Points 4 and 1 are related, the cause for the leak will probably well be worn gasket/ engine head sealant. ( Is your bike older than a year? mileage alone shows only half the picture.)

IF the bike is more than a year, get the rubber parts checked.

Brake fluids replaced, check braided brake lines for damage.

    Pads checked.

For point 2, there are few people who have made fixtures for their bikes.
(tank bag restrainer and the likes.)

Point 5 You get charger kits that have leads that can be directly plugged into the ignition switch. There are a couple of people who have had gps on their bikes. Reposting your request will certainly get their attention.

Point 3 you are right with your choice of sirac at back. I have no idea for Leh, but if your touring involves tarmac, try to get your hands on Fz16's front tyres, they have a better profile and traction.
