Hey Sajjt... can you give me the details of the place where you said the rewinding can be done... Thanks
-
U can refer LED series parallel array wizard for the LED config
give the supply volt as 14 not 12 as @ full batt charge it will touch 14.5, voltage drop for LEDs: normal 1.7, super bright red & std green 2.2, high intensity blue and white 4.5 and current consump is 30ma. U'll get the resistor values from this.
Taken LES as normal red 2.2V and 20ma current, supply volt =14v
R1=47Ohms and R2=680ohms
Hey, how do u know am elder than u?
am just ..... u know it.

Sajan chetta, need a help from u.. iam planning to change my FZ tail lamp to LED. So thinking to put 13 LEDs includes no: plate LED. So what type/ohms of the resistor i need to use, and required a circuit also.

whats that? how to mount/LED volt calc? see this

Give me some idea for putting LEDs for my RX100 Tail lamp.
What are things I need to buy like LEDs,resistors, Board, Capacitors...

03-10-2010 02:00 PM - permalinktheguitarfreakHello. I was going through the "Let there be Light" thread and could see how much knowledge you have regarding lights and electronics. I know you are the guy who can help me. I want to change the 35/35w stock bulb of my Apache 180 to 55/60w Osram Nightbreaker or Philips Xtreme Power. But rewinding of some some sort has to be done for that. I have no knowledge in electronics and circuits whatsoever.
After lot of searching i have finally found an electrician who says he can do the needful after i told him what i want to do. He said that it will cost around 700 and asked me to bring just the bulb nothing else. I dont know what he will be doing but he seemed to be confident. He didnt mention anything about coil change or RR change.
So can you tell me how do i know that i can trust this guy and he wont be screwing up the electricals of my bike? I dont want a dimly lit 55/60w. -
hello chetta!small help!
do you think a merc and SKODA's projector from scrap is worth 5k each?
thank you -
Dude, without resistor LED may not last long, but u can increase the no of LEDs in series without any resistors and it will last long, but at the cost of optimum brightness. std red LED will consume 1.7 and super bright red and std green 2.2V, high intensity blue and white 4.5V, so consider the supply voltage as 14V assuming that batt is full, and make the series. Total voltage consumption should not go below 13V in series.

02-23-2010 11:01 PM - permalink:':captain:':hey sajit. greetings from my side. wanted to ask u something. I fixed the white LED's into my apache's parking lights with the a 470ohms resistors. but this connection so damn irritating. i changed the led's 3 times. but they are not permanent. one or the other blows away with a reason i dont know. PLS HELP. i opened up the whole wiring for this and dont want to switch back to 4W bulb without anything. Can their be any way without the use of resistors and using a neutral wire. like, using 1 wire for suppky and another for neutral.
replies awaiting. takecare.
regards captain
