Hello, I am Roshan and i'm frm Cochin.
I need a bit of ur mind in this...
I would like to install a projector lamp for my Honda Unicorn 2008 model. Is it like I can only use HIDs with projector lens?

What I wish to do is that, I install the projector lens and use the stock halogen bulb with it. If I arrange such a setup, will it be producing sufficient lights on the roads, as well as, will it be having both low beam and high beam ?

If not, will I get proper lighting if I change the stock bulb to Osram night breaker ?

Dont worry, it'll be alright once u do it on the proper way. Its got only 2 coils: 1. lighting (4 Poles) 2: battery charging (3 Poles). Ask him to rewind in a neat & tight CW & ACW manner with a min of 75-80 turns on each pole. The stock turns are 90 per pole for lighting and 130 on battery charging IIRC. So keep the turns as much as possible to ensure proper voltage at lower rpms. Wire it as stock ie: lighting coils one end will be grounded to the body and the other end to the RR input, 2 ends of the battery charging coils to the RR input. Done... plonk a 55/60W good halogen and enjoy the nigt drives with added visibility.

BTW, do not use the used to winding wire to rewind it. Take a fresh coil winding wire and do it. A neat winding can only give optimum results else, it may be pathetic than the stock.

    Hi Sajit

I got my coil re winded today. Electrician used 19 guage wire and rewinded 5 poles and left two poles for charging the battery. He was confused about rewinding them. I checked the rewinded coil with my 12/35 halogen and it showed no improvement in power . Should I convert it to DC. He blew my 12/35 halogen when checking without coil. Should I do DC conversion?

I guess he has done something wrong. Can u elaborate how should I get it done?

Hi Sajit, Is it possible to add "PASS LIGHT" using horn type switch i.e. push to activate for activa. Do we need to use relay or can directly wire to the bulb ?
